#10yearsago I was making Tripod Web sites about *N Sync and html-coding “online diary entries” because blogs were barely invented.
#in2010 my New Year’s resolution is to launch my professional Web site. I already reserved www.mcemilywrites.com. So…not much has changed.
Unlike the two cars I wrecked in 2009, the year wasn’t a total loss. #onelinerfor09 http://bit.ly/712jwA (via @accidentallysxy @crushgear)
Dear everyone lamenting how no one reads anymore because they are on the Web, WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY ARE DOING ON THE WEB?! Love, Me
My editor assures me I’m not the dead beat reporter, even if I wrote our last three obits. This guy was in a scotch ad: http://bit.ly/76qk5d

IT’S LIKE CHRISTMAS MORNING ALL OVER AGAIN! I just learned @TuckerCarlson is on Twitter. Maybe ‘cause he just started. But what joy is mine!
Speaking of…I head to Lemont after work for Christmas 2009 No. 437. And there’s still one Christmas party to go, right, @joelemiller?
From the bottom of my editor heart (because I’m editing this week): RT @Oatmeal 10 words you need to stop misspelling http://bit.ly/8MhwXT
This unfortunate hed makes me think of the witch from Hansel and Gretel. Anyone? RT @windycitynews Lockport man charged with battering child
saw Sherlock Holmes with The Fam this weekend. A good review from @gapersblock, though I’m not sure I’d be SO effusive: http://bit.ly/76eY04

After a weekend without Internet access, I realize I didn’t wish everyone a Merry Christmas. There still are eight days of Christmas, right?

I will at least try to stay on top of wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Try being the operative word. ;)
Great. Now the keyhole to my car door is frozen stuck AND there’s a Lock-Ease nozzle wedged stuck in it.
I haven’t opened all my presents yet today, but I’m REALLY hoping to find the pope’s new album under the tree. www.musicfromthevatican.com
Wearing light-up Santa Claus earrings to church Xmas Eve? Done. Falling asleep in dino footie PJs? Done. I’m ready for this day to start!
MIGHT be rocking out to the Backstreet Boys at work (yes, at work). Shh. To be fair, I’m getting inspiration for an article I’m writing.

Guess which one @gracekelle is…? ;)

got to use that yellow ice scraper to match my yellow car from @real_juliadoyle this morning. Thanks, my not-so Secret Santa!
It crammed a lot of miracles into one musical number, @joelemiller noted. And who knew Bohemian Rhapsody was about the crucifixion?
If there are 2 things I love, it’s Jesus & Queen. @cicomedy’s It Came Upon A Midnight Queen started slow, but didn’t disappoint in the end.
And a big #FollowFriday thanks to @AlexParker and @RockinL7 for Listing me, as well!
#FF The woman, the myth, the legend, @PRsarahevans! I was surprised to learn we weren’t already following each other! Thanks for Listing me!
Last, but not least, #FF @JessDowney, who profiled me this week as one of Chicago’s Most Eligible Bachelorettes. So is she! Thanks, Jess!
According to @demicooper, I make the Internet a better place to live. Which may be the nicest thing anyone’s ever said. So do they—#FF.

To the person who also brought a veggie plate for the newsroom Xmas party, I SIGNED UP ON THE LIST. You can just take yours on home.
